Experienced in EMDR, Eating Disorders and Individual Therapy with a Trauma-Informed Approach

EMDR

At Kiama Psychology, we're experienced in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. EMDR can be particularly effective for treating trauma, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Angela uses EMDR to help clients process and overcome their traumatic experiences, in a safe and supportive environment. EMDR can be used to help children, adolescents and adults. For more information on what EMDR is and how it works check out the below link:  https://emdraa.org/emdr-resources/

Eating Disorders

We understand the complex nature of eating disorders and the impact they can have on a person's life. At Kiama Psychology, we offer individualised treatment for a range of eating disorders, including anorexia, bulimia, and binge-eating disorder. Angela has training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy - Enhanced (CBT-E) which emphasises working collaboratively with clients to develop personalised treatment plans that address the underlying psychological, emotional, and behavioural factors contributing to their eating disorder. CBT-E is used to assist adolescents and adults with their Eating Disorder.

Individual Therapy

At Kiama Psychology, we offer evidence-based individual therapy for a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, and trauma-related disorders. Angela uses a trauma-informed approach to therapy, which means we prioritise creating a safe and supportive environment for our clients.
